Aftermath

Our Future is Near

                                              Welcome to the Aftermath

The story of Terran Aftermath is not a short one. Long ago, a terrible war of nuclear proportions erupted, leaving what is now known as Terran, in a sad state of existence.  As the world begins to slowly heal, so do the people, though they still live in constant fear of the surfaces' radiation, and the scarcity of food and water.

While most live underground in vault-like communities, or sheltering themselves in domes, there are still those who laugh at fear and dwell on top.  Unwelcomed by most, these folks are either the planet's last hope, or its greatest nightmare. For  much to humanities demise,  pirating has become quite the trend.

Perhaps, however, the apocalypse is not yet over...

A new storm is brewing, and  for them, it is only the beginning.

The story consists of a mixture of modern post-apocalypse, it also holds elements of steampunk and cyberpunk. We have airships, etc.  Think of Fallout3 with a little more cyber/steampunk added to it.

Steampunk: "Steampunk is a sub-genre of fantasy and speculative fiction that came into prominence in the 1980s and early 1990s. The term denotes works set in an era or world where steam power is still widely used—usually the 19th century, and often Victorian era England—but with prominent elements of either science fiction or fantasy, such as fictional technological inventions like those found in the works of H. G. Wells and Jules Verne, or real technological developments like the computer occurring at an earlier date."-Wikipedia
Cyberpunk:"Cyberpunk is a science fiction genre noted for its focus on "high tech and low life".[1] The name is a portmanteau of cybernetics and punk and was originally coined by Bruce Bethke as the title of his short story "Cyberpunk," published in 1983.[2] It features advanced science, such as information technology and cybernetics, coupled with a degree of breakdown or radical change in the social order."-wikipedia

Apocalypse: "Apocalypse (Greek: Ἀποκάλυψις Apokálypsis; "lifting of the veil" or "revelation") is a term applied to the disclosure to certain privileged persons of something hidden from the majority of humankind. Today the term is often used to refer to the end of the world, which may be a shortening of the phrase apokalupsis eschaton which literally means "revelation at the end of the æon, or age". In the holy book of the Christians, the Bible, the term apocalypse refers to a revelation believed by Christians to be of their God's will."- wikipedia
